Without a doubt Anchorage is local to some of the most magical elopement places out of anywhere in the whole country. We highly recommend devoting 3 days to a week to explore your destination.
BEST TIME TO VISIT ANCHORAGE [JUN-AUG]
WEEKDAY WEEKDAY WEEKDAY. If you can, definitely elope during the week! This will dodge the crowds and give you the most private experience.
Summer months would be our top recommendation, this is from about June to August. However, winter months can offer the magical Alaska mid-day sunset too though.
Always book as far in advance as possible when holding a ceremony at a National Park.
For the most beautiful photos and video we recommend sunrise and sunset. Remember, this can be very different times than you’re used to if you’re not an Alaskan native.
